What is Curcumin and Why It Helps

Turmeric

I am not one to add unnecessary supplements to my diet.

There are, however, several important things that can improve ones health over the long run.

Curcumin is the principal curcuminoid of the popular Indian spice turmeric, which is a member of the ginger family.

Curcumin has been shown to exhibit antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and anticancer activities and thus has a potential against various malignant diseases, diabetes, allergies, arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease, and other chronic illnesses.

There is plenty of data to espouse the anti-cancer effect of Curcumin and hence I recommend for all of my patients.

Especially for those individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer and trying to stay in remission.
