Pasta Substitute

One of the hardest food items to give up is pasta.

Many of my patients want to regain their health and life, however, their diet is a carbohydrate overload with pasta as the mainstay several times a week.

Pasta is cheap, easy, and you can cook it in a variety of ways.

The problem is the wheat. And the carbohydrate load. And the insulin spike.

The massive increase in blood sugar leads to a rise in insulin, fat storage and the inflammatory cascade begins to reek havoc in your body.

There is an alternative.

These noodles are inexpensive, tasty, and there are a ton of ways to cook them.

Check out the number of recipes HERE. Not all are carb friendly so pay attention to the ingredients.

Or, create your own and share with the rest of us!!

(I found these at my local Publix, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and can be bought online with Amazon)

  1. These were mentioned somewhere else and without a Whole Foods or Trader Joes thought I’d never found them. Low and behold — Walmart! in the produce section!
They were a little different but filled my need for pasta!
